In his childhood, Erion was kidnapped by pirates. At that stage in the country’s history, the government had almost no money and could not pay the ransom. Fortunately for Meron, he could think on his feet. At eight years old he negotiated with the pirates and made a deal that if they didn’t kill him, he would work for them.
Ten years later, after his family had given him up for dead, he returned at the head of a fleet of ships. It was the first royal navy, and Erion later became the most successful king of his era.
