A Breleth, he was largely responsible for the end of the Etanan war. At the age of sixteen, he and a northern peasant girl, Ella Eveltaren, were kidnapped by a group dedicated to ending the war and, in spite of huge obstacles, managed to defeat the Etanan leaders. Tamen made it clear that his victory was largely a result of Etanan myths regarding his status as a Breleth.Tamen was later convicted of his father’s murder (it was in fact committed at the behest of his half-uncle, Kendek Bradden) and briefly exiled. His uncle Adris ruled briefly before acknowledging that Tamen was indeed innocent and returning the throne to him. Tamen married Ella Eveltaren and still reigns to the present day. His heir is his son Kendan; Kendan’s twin, Trestar, is a key player in the rebuilding of Etana and is married to an Etanan girl.
