He reigned during a treacherous period of Meron history, in which no one was sure who had authority over what. Though no heirs remained to the other great families who had once united the kingdom, many people emerged at the time who put forth a claim to one region or another.
Vierde was known widely as a man with a temper. In one memorable incident, after he had just seen twelve false heirs over the course of a few short months, he seized the latest specimen by the hair and pulled his arms out of their sockets.
