As strange as it seems, all reliable sources say that Alar was never officially crowned. If that is the case, then he reigned for fifteen years an uncrowned king. What circumstances led to this odd occurrence has come under much speculation on the part of scholars across Meron. It’s perfectly possible he was a younger son, but he is listed as king in all official records and on his gravestone is carven, “King Alar, lord of all Meron”.
