The war began in earnest during Hargon’s reign. Though war was declared in 525, during the rule of his grandfather, it was little but skirmishes until 560. Hargon, panicking, went to the most powerful of his friends and asked for help. In this manner, the zal a debedo was formed.
Hargon died only eight years later, after a series of the worst attacks Meron had seen since the Etanan coup more than six hundred years before. Curiously, he was remembered not for this, but for forming the council, which changed the face of Meron government forever.
