The younger brother of Namet, who died without issue. Otis was known as the Unhappy King. Crops failed and bridges broke while he was king; he reigned for nine years of one difficulty after another. The only thing he succeeded at was producing sons—five of them. It is fortunate for Meron that he reigned in a time of peace, or things might have gone even worse.
