The Nalaith are technically under the jurisdiction of the Myrelyris dynasty, but in fact they share very little with their lowland countrymen and prefer to keep it that way. Little is known about them, although there are numerous stories about their ways, most of which are probably false.
The Nalaith are the western mountain people; they have little in common with the easterners, the Kwedith, whom they regard as too caught up in the world below. Though the Nalaith, like the Kwedith, engage in trade with lowlanders, they harbor a certain ethnocentrism (of which, admittedly, the other side is also guilty) and not many of their people ever venture out of the mountains. They are hunter-gatherers and produce little that is considered of value to those outside their land.
Nalaith lands are in North Province, though they're not always counted in census, since they stay in the mountains and no one knows for sure how many there really are.
