- Meronian (Meroned) is a relatively compact composite language, built primarily from Korbeth (the language of Korba) and Aywen (the language of Etana). Because Meroned possesses a sound (zh) that does not exist in either of its neighboring languages, it may be assumed that it was originally more distinct, but due to extensive trade with Korba and Etana, grew to be more like Korbeth and Aywen (most notably the former).
- A pidgin dialect of Korbeth, the language of Korba, is spoken in northern Meron. While it is usually learned with Meroned in the northwest, in the northeast it is the primary language and many people do not speak Meroned at all (see: MOUNTAIN FOLK).
