South Province

Though the northern provinces are commonly known to have secessionist leanings, people also remember that the south was once equally divided. The Uprising of of 690 began in South Province, spreading north to Awar.

This is in part due to South's feeling that it is underrepresented in the government. While its western neighbors are relatively respected, it is the underdog of the province and has little economy. Its chief export is stonework and luxury goods, but it makes little money in such business and is therefore not a wealthy region.
