Karbean Worship

Karbeans worship the Creator in several ways.

The first, and most common, is through prayers. These can be offered both in private and in temples, which hold worship services every fifth day and are open to personal worship for five hours every morning. Services include song - Karbean choirs are renowned for their unusual rhythms and fine style - incense-laden rituals, and speeches by horzalyo, zaldesezo, and zaldesemo. Then an open prayer session is held.

The second way of worship is through tithe. While Karbea can be practiced in private, if people expect to regularly participate in temple services, they must give a certain amount of money annually.

The third, and least popular, form of worship is through animal sacrifice. This is held ritually at some temples on important holidays, but has almost entirely fallen out of practice in the last century.
