The illegitimate son of King Maeldon, Kendek was raised by his mother but was a childhood playmate of his half-brother, Tannock Myrelyris. Kendek grew up jealous of his half-siblings but was sly enough to disguise it and maneuver himself into a position of power. He was made the warden of Tamen Myrelyris, his half-nephew, and schemed to control the boy and become the power behind the throne when he became king.His plan backfired when Tamen grew to recognize the danger of his warden’s need for control. When the war ended, Kendek schemed to murder King Tannock and succeeded in doing so. He was later discovered and hanged for his efforts.
